We knew BlackBerry would go official with the rumored Passport smartphone sometime in September, but we did not know when exactly the launch event would take place.

Today, the Canadian company has just announced a press conference for September 24, which will take place in three cities concomitantly: Toronto, London and Dubai.

Though the press event announcement does not mention what device will be announced later this month, it hints to no other than BlackBerry Passport with the tagline “See the bigger picture.”

It's also worth mentioning that this will be an invite-only conference where a limited number of journos will be present. For the time being, it's unclear whether or not the “save the date” event will be streamed online.

However, BlackBerry invites everyone to keep their eye on its social network accounts for more info on what's to come on September 24.

There has been a lot of speculation regarding the launch of BlackBerry Passport and how well it will be received by consumers.

Now that BlackBerry already hinted to Passport's official reveal, I guess it's only a matter of time until we find out if the device proves to be popular among smartphone users.
