Shortly after Bell, Virgin Mobile and SaskTel deployed the BlackBerry OS 7.1 update for Curve 9360, another BlackBerry 7 smartphone is now getting the update.

Although TELUS has yet to officially announce the availability of the upgrade, the folks over at MobileSyrup claim that lots of TELUS customers are reporting that the update is now available for download via BlackBerry Desktop Manager software.

It appears that this update includes important optimizations and enhancements specific to each carrier that offers the smartphone. TELUS users who receive the update are welcomed with the following message:

An update of BlackBerry Device Software version 7.1 is available. This update includes optimizations and enhancements approved by your wireless service provider. Note: If your device is associated with an email account that uses a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, contact your administrator for more information about updating.”
