BlackBerry fans rejoice as RIM (Research In Motion) has just released the hotly-anticipated BlackBerry OS 2.1 upgrade for PlayBook 4G LTE tablet.

It took the Canadian company more than a month to make the update available to PlayBook 4G LTE owners, after it was pushed to PlayBook Wi-Fi users back in early October. Check out below some of the changes included in this update:

- Allows PIM (Messages, Calendar, Contacts) to be viewed in portrait orientation; - PIM – Deep Folder Hierarchy; - BlackBerry Bridge will now support viewing SMS messages on the PlayBook; - Android apps will now be run in separate windows, instead of one window for every Android app; - Android apps will now have the ability to use the PlayBook camera; - A customer will now be able to make in-app payments within Android apps;

We recommend BlackBerry PlayBook 4G LTE owners who purchased their tablets from Canadian carriers TELUS, Bell or Rogers to upgrade as soon as possible.
