Owners of BlackBerry Z10 STL100-1 devices can also grab it

Owners of BlackBerry 10 handsets out there interested in trying out some unofficial software on their handsets can now download the recently leaked BlackBerry OS 10.2.1.3247.

The new platform iteration is supposedly set to become officially available for users in the not too distant future, but those interested in learning more on what it will have to offer to them can already download and install it.

Unfortunately, the new platform release hasn’t leaked for all BlackBerry 10 phones out there, but only for the BlackBerry Q5, Q10, Z3, and Z30 devices. As CrackBerry notes, however, owners of BlackBerry Z10 STL100-1 will also find a leaked build available for their devices.

Given the fact that this is an unofficial release, we advise users to take care when installing it on their smartphones. In fact, it would be a great idea to back up all data on the device before loading the new OS version, just so as to make sure that no important data is lost in the process.

No specific info on when the new OS iteration will be officially rolled out to said devices has been provided as of now, but it appears that carriers are already testing it, which means that things could start moving shortly.
