BlackBerry has just released a new version of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), but this one is only available in the Beta Zone.

According to CrackBerry, one of the most important changes is the addition of support for devices running OS 5.0.

Aside from that, the latest update for BBM brings some performance and stability fixes, which have yet to be detailed.

Furthermore, BlackBerry also added faster call setup for BBM Voice sessions and improved device accessory handling (Bluetooth and headset integration).

Last but not least, the changelog mentions the update adds some BBID setup and integration improvements.

The latest version of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) is now available as a free download via Beta Zone and it should be fully compatible with all devices running BlackBerry 5.0 and up.

Make sure you have a valid BlackBerry Beta Zone account before attempting to download this version of BBM.
