Owners of BlackBerry 10 smartphones can now download and install a new version of the BlackBerry Maps application on their devices, though it appears to be including only a series of small fixes.

According to N4BB, the updated mobile client comes with a number of “defect fixes dealing with stability and performance.”

The application was designed specifically to keep BlackBerry 10 users moving, as BlackBerry notes. It comes with 2D maps, the possibility to perform local searches, as well as with 3D voice guided turn-by-turn directions.

According to BlackBerry, the software can provide users with the features and capabilities that an advanced GPS navigation system has to offer. On top of that, it is free and allows users to share locations via BBM.
