BlackBerry Leap is the Canadian company's next attempt to convince smartphone users that its products are really worth their money. The handset has been officially introduced earlier this month and is now expected to hits shelves in April for around $200.

In order to raise the hype around the Leap, BlackBerry has just released a 1-minute official hands-on video that highlights some of the best features the smartphone has to offer.

First of all, the Leap will ship with BlackBerry 10.3.1 operating system out of the box and the Canadian company promised that the 2,800 mAh battery should provide users with up to 25 hours of continuous usage.

BlackBerry Leap sports a decent 5-inch HD (720p) capacitive touchscreen display and a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor clocked at 1.5GHz.

The phone's kind of obsolete CPU is complemented by an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM. The Leap packs 16GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB).

Last but not least, the smartphone features an 8-megapixel camera on the back with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel camera on the front for video calls.
