AT&T is the first US-based carrier to come forward with an official release date for BlackBerry Classic. Although the network operator confirmed earlier this year it will offer two BlackBerry smartphones, the Passport and the Classic, no details on their launch date have been provided until today.

Today, AT&T officially announced BlackBerry Classic will be available for purchase through its official retail channels for no less than $420 (€370) outright.

However, the smartphone can also be had for for $0 down on an AT&T Next plan at $14 per month with AT&T Next 24, $17.50 per month with Next 18 or $21 per month with AT&T Next 12.

Additionally, BlackBerry Classic is also available from AT&T for only $49.99 (€44) with a new two-year agreement.

AT&T also announced the Passport will go on sale on the same day, but it will cost $649 (€570) outright or $199 (€175) with a new two-year contract.

The Classic will be released with BlackBerry 10.3.1 operating system onboard and will feature the Canadian company traditional design, hence the name.

BlackBerry Classic features a full QWERTY keyboard and a small 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 720 x 720 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating. For more details on the smartphone, you can check out BlackBerry Classic full specs.
