Angry Birds fans will be happy to know that Rovio has just released a new update for one of the most popular titles in the franchise, Angry Birds Star Wars II for Android.

The game has more than 10 million downloads on Google Play Store and probably around the same amount on iOS platform. The latest update is meant to bring some of the fans that lost interest in the game for various reasons, but also to reward those who remained faithful to the title.

According to Rovio, the latest version of Angry Birds Star Wars II brings something called Galactic Giveaway. It appears that in this new update, Rovio has hidden 1000 coins across all the levels.

Players will now be able to find 1000 hidden coins to use in the shop by playing through the levels of Angry Birds Star Wars II for Android.

New Carbonite rewards have been added as well. Simply, wait for the carbonite to melt in order to win a new character. Furthermore, players will now be able to use birds on the bird side level. Basically you can now play as the birds or pigs on any Bird and Pork Side level.

Last but not least, several new languages are now supported in the game, including: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Japanese.

You can now download Angry Birds Star Wars II for Android 1.4.0 for free via Google Play store. Keep in mind that the game should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 2.3 and up.
