Rovio has been teasing the next major update for Angry Birds Star Wars II for several days now, but did not unveil exactly when it goes live on Google Play Store.

Well, it looks like the mysterious Carbonite Pack has finally been released and Angry Birds Star Wars II players will now be able to update their game as soon as the new version becomes available in their country.

According to Rovio, the new Carbonite Pack includes 8 new playable characters, which can be purchased or unlocked permanently using telepods toys. Developers also offer players the chance to try out any of the new characters for a limited time.

Here are the new characters included in the Carbonite Pack: Han Solo, Jabba the Hutt, Wicket the Ewok, Lando Bird, Royal Crimson Guard, Tusken Raider and more. Keep in mind that each character brings all-new levels.

You can now download Angry Birds Star Wars II for Android 1.3.0 for free via Google Play Store. The game should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
