BlackBerry users are usually the last to receive an update to an application that’s been available for other mobile platforms such as Android and iOS.

Well, it looks like this is happening again and Angry Birds Space for BlackBerry PlayBook has just received an update, which had previously been pushed to iOS and Android devices.

Although Rovio didn’t bother to offer an official changelog for this update, reports coming from users who have already installed it claim it brings 20 new levels and a new puff ball bird.

Other than the new content mentioned, there are no changes to the game’s visuals and no new features either. Those who already have the game installed but don’t see the update yet will have to wait a bit until it becomes available for their PlayBook tablets.

Angry Birds Space 1.2.2 is now available for download for $2.99 USD via App World and it’s fully compatible with all PlayBook tablets running BlackBerry 1.0 and higher. Check it out here.
