As expected, Rovio has released the Android version of its highly acclaimed Facebook game Angry Birds Friends. The new title has been pushed to Google Play and can be downloaded for free.

However, keep in mind that Angry Birds Friends requires an Internet connection, as well as a Facebook login. As the name suggests, Angry Birds Friends is aimed at those who prefer to play games with their friends.

It allows players to challenge their Facebook friends for the title of “ultimate pig popper and bird flinger.” In addition, you will be able to gather daily rewards, as well as send and receive gifts.

Developers have confirmed that the game will get tournaments with new levels every week. It is also worth mentioning that the Android version of Angry Birds Friends syncs automatically with player’s game on Facebook.

Angry Birds Friends 1.0.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
