Users in India can now purchase a new Android-based smartphone at only Rs. 7,699 ($142 / €106), namely the Karbonn A12, which sports a 4.5-inch touchscreen display and a 1 GHz processor.

The smartphone can be seen on Saholic with this price attached, while being listed on Flipkart at Rs. 7,990.

The specs list of this device shows that its 4.5-inch screen can deliver a 540 ×960 pixels resolution, and that said processor is paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with front camera for video calling, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS, and FM Radio.

Running under Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, the new device resembles the Karbonn A21 that arrived last year, a recent post on fonearena claims.
