Nexus 7 (2012) is one of the last tablets released by Google to receive the Android 5.1 Lollipop factory images. The rest of Nexus devices with a few exceptions have already received their own images and today Nexus 7 (2012) got it as well.

Google released Android 5.1 Lollipop factory images for both versions of Nexus 7 (2012): 3G and Wi-Fi only. Make sure you download the correct ROM in case you plan on flashing the new version of the OS.

In the same piece of news, it looks like Nexus 7 (2013) is one of the last Google tablets that hasn't yet received its factory images. Just like the 2012 model, Nexus 7 (2013) is available in two variants, but neither got Android 5.1 Lollipop factory images for the moment.

Surprisingly, the same applies for Nexus 9, which is the newest tablet launched by Google. Android fans loyal to Nexus series will probably have to wait a few more days for the search giant to release the factory images for Nexus 9.

Hopefully, both LTE and Wi-Fi versions will have their factory images available for download sooner rather than later.

We will keep an eye out for any additional details on the matter, so stay tuned for more updates on Android 5.1 Lollipop factory images for Nexus devices.
