The handset is not the most recent phone to come out of LG

Android 5.0 Lollipop was introduced over four months ago and LG is one of the manufacturers who have done a very good job of updating their products, old and new, to Google’s latest build.

The latest LG to receive the update to Lollipop is the Optimus G Pro. The company has officially announced on its Korean page that it is rolling out the new build to users located in the country.

Which means that users rocking an Optimus G Pro in other territories still have to wait before receiving the same treatment. As it happens with updates like these, the rollout takes place gradually, so it depends on your location if you get it sooner rather than later.

The LG Optimus G Pro is two years old, so its pretty impressive phone maker is taking the time to update this particular model.

When launched, the Optimus G Pro was the company’s first phablet device to boast 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It also ran the ancient Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.

The handset is still available for purchase in countries like the US, and now that Lollipop is rolling out for the device, it makes for a nice grab.
