Android 5.1 Lollipop started rolling out for the LG G 8.3 Google Play Edition not so long ago, but a few other LG tablets are going to enjoy the same treatment pretty soon.

If you are the owner of one of the company’s G Pad 7.0, Pad 8.0 or G Pad 10.1 tablets, then you should rejoice, because the Korean company is poised to star offering the new update for these products. But the report coming out of Android Central doesn’t specify what build will end up being implemented.

It’s probably not going to be Android 5.1, so in all possibility, the three tablets will be updated to Android 5.0.2.

LG has been one of the first manufacturers to pick up Android 5.0 for its G3 flagship, so it’s pretty nice to see that the Korean tech giant is moving towards updating its mid-range models too.

Come the end of the month, LG will release its next-gen flagship, the G4, which will make a debut into the wild with Android 5.1 Lollipop onboard out of the box.

The update notification should be popping up when the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network. Make sure the tablet has more than 40% battery life before you start downloading the update.
