LG said that it would offer Android 5.0 Lollipop updates for most of its tablets, including G Pad 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1, beginning mid-April. However, carrier-branded slates will receive these updates slightly later due to operator's approval.

Well, it looks like it took Verizon about three weeks to make Android 5.0.2 Lollipop available to LG G Pad 10.1 LTE owners. The update is now being pushed OTA (over the air) to all Verizon LG G Pad 10.1 LTE tablets in stages, so it might take a few days until the rollout is complete.

Several additional changes aside from those that come inside Android 5.0 Lollipop have been implemented too. For example, owners will notice that the Home touch buttons design has been updated to match Android 5.0 Lollipop style.

Furthermore, the Recent button will be inserted between the Home and Menu buttons. Still, users will be able to rearrange the button combination.

There's also a new “Avoid bad Wi-Fi connections” toggle in Advanced Wi-Fi options. This means that if Wi-Fi network is not connected to the internet and “Avoid bad Wi-Fi connections” is turned off, “No Wi-Fi Internet connection” pop-up will be displayed.

The number of changes included in this update is quite huge, so make sure you check you the full list of new features and improvements on Verizon's support website.
