Android 5.0 Lollipop has been rolled out into the wild for quite some time now, but only a handful of handsets and tablets have received it so far, including the Nexus family and the Google Play Devices host.

However, the numbers are slowly on the rise. LG, for example, has been surprisingly quick in providing the update for its 2014 flagship, the G3 handset. Lollipop is currently served to owners of the device in South Korea and Europe.

But LG now appears to have the same treatment in store for its G2 smartphone, as well. A screenshot depicting Android 5.0.1 running on the G2 leaked online curtsy of Italian publication Tutto Android.

The build number is LRX21Y, but sadly the G2 in question is the F320L model, which is the LTE-Advanced model which was released in South Korea.

It sounds like Samsung all over again, which was spotted testing Android 5.0.1 for its Korean exclusive S5 LTE variant.

As it was revealed afterwards, Samsung is also planning to bump up the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge directly to Android 5.0.1.

So in all likelihood, the international version of LG G2 will be hit by Android 5.0.1 at some point. For the moment, we have no idea when exactly this is bound to happen.

When it arrives, the update will also bestow the G3 UI on the G2, as it is visible in the leaked screenshot.
