14 DAY TRIAL // The not so old LG Optimus G has just received something that more popular smartphones have yet to receive, a working Android 4.4 KitKat custom ROM.
This means that the Optimus G will be one of the few smartphones capable of running an unofficial Android 4.4 KitKat build, along with the Galaxy Nexus.
Courtesy of XDA Developers member houstonn, LG Optimus G users who own one the three models compatible with this ROM will be able to taste the experience offered by Google’s latest operating system.
Thus, this ROM is compatible with LG Optimus G model E970, E971 and E973, but it might also work on E975, E976 and E977 if owners flash an alternative kernel after installing the new ROM.
