Android fans who own a Nexus device will be pleased to know that Google has just kicked off the rollout of a new Android 4.4 KitKat update.

Obviously, the update is only available for Nexus devices that already have Android 4.4 KitKat installed, such as the Nexus 4, original Nexus 7 and Nexus 7 2013, as well as Nexus 10.

According to Google engineer Conley Owens, Android 4.4 Kitkat build KRT16S contains some bugfixes for the devices mentioned earlier.

Keep in mind that the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so it might take a while until it reaches all Nexus devices.

In the same piece of news, Owens also states that proprietary binaries and factory images will be made available shortly. In fact, they're already available for download now via Softpedia.
