T-Mobile is the first carrier to roll out the long-awaited Android 4.4.3 KitKat update, which has been rumored to arrive for quite a long time.

The update reached Sprint several weeks ago, but it got pulled for unknown reasons. Well, it looks like Google has finished working on the next more or less major update for Android and has decided to make it available for users.

As expected, the first smartphones to receive the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update are those from the Nexus series. T-Mobile and Google have confirmed that Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 are the only ones eligible for this upgrade.

However, if you own one of the two smartphones eligible for the update, but you did not purchase it via T-Mobile’s official retail channels, you may be in luck, as Google has just released the factory images and binaries for these devices.

This means that Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 owners can now download and flash these factory images on their devices if they don’t want to wait until the update becomes available for them.

Keep in mind though that flashing the Android 4.4.3 KitKat will erase everything on the smartphone, so you might want to back everything up. You can find the factory images for Android 4.4.3 KitKat (KTU84L and KTU84M) on Google Developers website.
