South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics appears to have completed the development of Android 4.4.3 KitKat for its Galaxy S5, and will start deploying the new platform update as soon as this month.

The info comes from a leaked document that emerged over at AndroidGeeks, which confirms not only that the update is ready for deployment, but also that it will start arriving on handsets very soon.

Moreover, said document also unveils that the update will be pushed to all unlocked Samsung Galaxy S5 models out there, including the Snapdragon (SM-G900F) and Exynos (SM-G900H) ones.

Additionally, said leak confirms that Samsung Galaxy S4 is also slated to receive the update, and that July is the lucky timeframe for enthusiasts.

Although this is not an official confirmation on Samsung’s plans for the update, the fact that Nexus handsets and Motorola’s phones have already gotten the update suggests that more devices should get it in the near future.

No specific release date for the update has been provided as of now, but users might start seeing it on their phones very soon. In fact, wireless carrier US Cellular has already mentioned the platform update on its website, which means that a full roll out should start soon.

Android 4.4.3 KitKat does not come with too many enhancements inside, but mainly with a large array of fixes, along with a redesigned Phone Dialer app that sports a card-based interface and a new color scheme.

Hopefully, it won’t be too long before Samsung decides to provide us with some more info on its plans for the Android 4.4.3 update for the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4 and other smartphones in its lineup, so stay tuned.
