Vodafone Australia customers who own the HTC One M7 will be pleased to know that the carrier has just confirmed that the long-awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat update with Sense 6.0 is now available for download.

According to the operator, the rollout of the said update kicked off on June 12, so it should now be available for download for most HTC One M7 owners who purchased their devices through Vodafone's official retail channels.

Keep in mind that the update is available using HTC's FOTA (firmware over the air) update platform and can be downloaded via Wi-Fi or over 3G/4G network at no additional charges.

The official changelog of the update mentions new features, like power efficiency including the addition of Extreme Power Saving mode, as well as improvements to Mail, Message, Calendar and Phone.

Lots of general performance and stability improvements have been included in the update as well, but no additional details have been shared on any of these.

Make sure your phone's battery is at least 50% charged and back up any important information you have on the phone. In order to manually check for the update, you might want to head over to Settings / About phone / Software updates / Check now.
