Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II owners at Bell will be pleased to hear that the Canadian carrier has recently confirmed plans to deliver the long-awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for these two specific smartphones.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling if the information is accurate or not, even if it comes directly from Bell. There have been many official statements in the last couple of weeks coming from Samsung or other carriers, which confirmed the upcoming release of the KitKat update for Galaxy S III.

Most of these statements have been denied shortly after, so we should wait and see if Samsung is really going to offer Galaxy S III owners the option to upgrade to the latest version of Android, namely KitKat 4.4.2.

For what it’s worth, Bell has recently released Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4. After announcing it on Twitter, the carrier received several questions regarding the same update, but for the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II smartphones.

The person handling Bell’s official Twitter account confirmed that both smartphones would receive the highly anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade, but stated that it would update the community when it was ready. Here is hoping that it will happen sooner rather than later.
