14 DAY TRIAL // Good news for Sony Xperia ZL owners who have purchased their smartphones through Rogers’ official retail channels, as the carrier has just confirmed that an Android 4.4.2 KitKat update will be released on May 21.
The Xperia ZL was on track to receive the long-awaited update since last week, when Sony Mobile confirmed that the smartphone, along with Xperia Z and Xperia ZR, was to get the KitKat upgrade this month.
However, no specific dates were mentioned at that time, which is why the information coming from Rogers is completely new.
These are the last Xperia smartphones offered by Rogers that will receive this Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, as the Xperia Z1 and Xperia T have already got it.
Sony Xperia ZL owners in other regions probably wonder when they will receive the update as well, but no details on the matter have leaked yet.
