Owners of Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE smartphones out there are currently receiving a new operating system upgrade, as the South Korean mobile phone maker has finally started to deliver the Android 4.4.2 KitKat platform iteration to them.

The update will be rolling out to all Galaxy S4 LTE (GT-I9506) devices out there, though it will be delivered in stages, which means that some of you might have to wait a few days before receiving it.

According to a recent post on SamMobile, owners of both the international LTE-A-enabled and Snapdragon 800-powered variants of the 2013 flagship smartphone should be receiving the new software release.

The new platform upgrade arrives on devices as build number XXUCNG3 and has already been spotted in the Nordic region, including Sweden and Finland.

Available over-the-air, the update will provide users with enhancements such as better performance capabilities, a redesigned status bar with white icons, and lock screen improvements, which include full-screen album art and a camera shortcut.

The operating system refresh should deliver other new features as well, including wireless printing support and updated Samsung apps, along with better battery life, the same as it did on other devices out there.

Hopefully, it won’t be long before the update arrives on all Galaxy S4 LTE devices, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
