Good news for Xperia M users in Australia, as major carrier Vodafone has confirmed that it is now preparing to test an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for this smartphone.

XperiaBlog reports that Vodafone Australia has an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Xperia M testing scheduled, which we hope will be successful.

In the same piece of news, Vodafone has also tested a similar update for Xperia SP and Xperia TX, but both tests have failed and the carrier is now awaiting for new software from Sony.

This is probably one of the reasons that the Japanese handset maker has just certified new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware updates for Xperia SP and Xperia TX.

Sony has promised earlier this month that Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates will be available for various Xperia smartphones beginning late January / early February, but we're still waiting for more details. Stay tuned for more on this one.
