We reported a few days ago that Australian carrier Vodafone had already scheduled testing of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Sony Xperia M and now it looks like the firmware has been certified at PTCRB.

Recently spotted by XperiaBlog, the new firmware version, 15.4.A.0.21, should be the long-awaited Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.

In the same piece of news, the dual-SIM version of Xperia M has also received new firmware, updated to build 15.5.A.0.16, but it's not yet available for download.

Unfortunately, there's no telling whether this update will be released in the next couple of days, as Sony certified numerous pieces of firmware for other Xperia smartphones before the final builds were actually released for the general public.

Hopefully, the carriers that are already testing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Xperia M will give Sony approval to distribute it soon enough. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
