Other apps in this platform version do feature all 12 months of the year

Google’s latest mobile operating system flavor, namely Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, doesn’t know that there are 12 months in a year.

The People/Contacts app that was included in the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) lists January as coming after November, and does not include December at all.

The operating system is already running on Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 devices, and is currently being pushed to Galaxy Nexus smartphones, and the issue appears to affect all of them.

The Calendar and Gmail apps in the platform are said to recognize all months of the year, but the Contacts app doesn’t, which means that this is not a widespread issue in the new platform release.

However, it seems that Google has already acknowledged the issue, and that it might resolve it in the not too distant future, so stay tuned.
