Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei is getting ready for the release of the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system for three of its handsets, and has already confirmed plans on the matter.

Soon, the owners of Huawei Ascend D1, Huawei Ascend P1, and Huawei Honor 2 will receive the new flavor of Android, with the Emotion UI 1.6 loaded on top, GSMinsider reports.

Apparently, Huawei CEO Richard Yu was the one who unveiled these plans, while also stating that the new platform version would be pushed to other handsets as well, though specific info on availability hasn’t been delivered.

In addition to preparing new OS upgrades for older smartphones, Huawei is expected to announce new handsets soon, with Huawei Ascend P6 and Huawei Honor 3 being among the rumored such possible devices.
