Following the landing of Android 4.2.2 on Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 devices, the owners of Nexus 4 smartphones can also download and install it, so as to take advantage of the features it brings along.

It weighs around 51MB, and should be downloaded on devices in no time over the air, though it can also be found on Google’s servers, it seems.

While there are some appealing enhancements to take advantage of in this release, including a patch for a previously spotted security flaw in Android, there are some changes that won’t be taken so lightly by users.

One of them involves the removal of the unofficial support for LTE connectivity that was previously found on Nexus 4.

Following the update, the handset will revert to “WCDMA Preferred” connectivity even when users select "LTE Only" in the Phone info menu, thus leaving users completely out of 4G, anandtech notes.
