Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Rolling Out to GSM Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10

The update brings performance and stability improvements

Although Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean leaked several weeks ago, we did not expect it to be deployed so quickly. Initial reports claimed this update contains a set of bug fixes and improvements, including a fix for Bluetooth A2DP issues.

As AndroidPolice points out, the hotly anticipated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is now live and available for download for a series of Nexus devices.

It appears that for the time being, owners of GSM Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 are the only ones reporting the update popped up on their Android devices.

Software update Android 4.2.2, build number JDQ39 is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so not all Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 owners might receive it at the same time.

As far as we know, this update brings “performance and stability improvements,” but we expect Google to release an official changelog later on. Stay tuned for more info on this one.
