Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless hasn’t been pushing software updates for the Galaxy Nexus as often as it should have, but it appears that it is currently working on making the latest Android flavor out there available for the device.

That would be the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform version, which sports build number JDQ39, and which is now available for download for all those interested in upgrading their handsets.

The update has leaked online and can already be found available for download, a post on Android Police reads. Furthermore, new radios for the device also emerged online, as Droid-life notes.

Users should keep in mind that this is not a standalone ROM, and that they will need to be running the official Android 4.1.1 build in order to install the leaked package. It can be flashed using a custom recovery or the “adb sideload” method via a PC.
