The update is pushed OTA (over the air), in stages

Three UK has just confirmed that the long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for HTC One S is now rolling out OTA (over the air) in waves.

Customers who have purchased their HTC One S via Three UK will be automatically notified of the update starting today. However, the update can also be force pushed by going to Settings / About / Software updates / Check now.

Given the fact that the update is deployed in waves, it might not show on some HTC One S devices, so we suggest trying again later.

The international version of HTC One S received Jelly Bean almost two months ago, but the Taiwanese company has confirmed that it will take some time until it reaches all carrier-bounded models.

Three seems to be one of the first UK-based carriers to offer the Jelly Bean upgrade for HTC One S, but other operators might follow soon.
