Fido and WIND Mobile already released the long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for HTC One S, but some Canadian carriers have yet to make it available.

Fortunately, Bell and Virgin Mobile are not among the latter. According to MobileSyrup, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is now available for download for HTC One S owners who purchased their devices from either of the two carriers.

As expected, the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves, so not all HTC One S owners might receive it at the same time.

In order to manually force the update on the HTC One S, simply go to Menu / Settings / About device / Software update / Update.

Among lots of new features, tweaks and enhancements, users should expect “an improved and refined user experience.”
