Owners of the Galaxy Note smartphone in Japan can now download and install a new software update on their devices, namely the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system version.
The new firmware should prove a welcomed enhancement over the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich that was previously loaded on the smartphone, courtesy of a variety of performance improvements, paired with a better interface.
Furthermore, as SammyHub notes, the update also brings along Google Now, expandable notifications, S Pen support, and other enhancements as well.
Additionally, Android 4.1.2 will remove a series of Samsung applications, including the Social Hub and S Choice, along with Adobe’s Flash Player.
The update is being pushed to users over-the-air as version JZO54K.SC05DOMMSG. However, Galaxy Note owners can also download and install it via the Samsung Kies desktop application.
