14 DAY TRIAL // Sony’s LTE flavor of Xperia ion (LT28i) is currently receiving the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich platform upgrade, recent reports on the matter suggest.
Following the update, users will see firmware version 6.1.E.1.19 running on their devices, while enjoying all the enhancements that the new platform release had to offer to them.
However, it seems that only users in Hong Kong and Taiwan are receiving the update at the moment, though other regions are also expected to be able to grab it shortly.
Unfortunately, Sony hasn’t provided specific details on the availability of this platform update for users in other countries.
No specific info on what the update brings along has been provided as of yet. However, chances are that it will not be different than the Ice Cream Sandwich running on Xperia S and Xperia P.
