Amazon has released a new flavor of its Appstore mobile client for devices running under Google’s Android operating system, namely version 7.0.
The new application release arrives with a nice range of enhancements packed inside, including a brand new user interface, which now resembles the updated Kindle Fire tablets, AndroidPolice notes.
Amazon’s new Appstore client comes with improved scrolling capabilities, loses the legacy menu button, and sports a menu overflow button on the left (which will bring up a navigation drawer when clicked on).
Scrolling in the navigation pane is said to still feature some lag, but the application clearly packs performance enhancements and should deliver a better experience to all users.
Users might not see the update as available when checking for it from within the app, and a manual installation is recommended in such cases. You can download the Amazon Appstore for Android 7.0 from Softpedia.
