South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is reportedly getting ready for the launch of a new smartphone in the Galaxy family, one that would sport the name of Galaxy Memo, the latest news on the matter suggest.

The new mobile phone will land on shelves with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, capable of delivering a full HD resolution, as well as with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor packed inside, paired with 2GB of RAM, SamMobile reports.

On the back, the new mobile phone should sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper, paired with a front camera for video calling, as can be seen in the photos attached to this post.

Samsung Galaxy Memo should hit the market running under Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, with Samsung’s own TouchWiz user interface loaded on top.
