Nokia EOS, supposedly the next Windows Phone 8-based smartphone from the Finnish mobile phone maker and the first in the series to pack a 41-megapixel photo snapper, is expected to become official on July 11, and an allegedly leaked prototype of the device can now be admired online.

A series of leaked photos that reportedly provide us with a glimpse at an engineering prototype for the device have emerged on weibo, and WMPoweruser notes that they might have been manufactured using metal injection techniques.

Previously leaked photos of the device showed a similar outer design as the one that this alleged prototype sports, though no official confirmation on Nokia’s plans for the device has emerged as of now, and we’ll have to take all of this with a grain of salt.

Hopefully, Nokia will indeed make the 41MP handset official next month, and more on its features and capabilities will emerge at that time, so stay tuned.
