Mobile phone maker Motorola appears to be finally gearing up for the official launch of a new series of smartphones, just as some of the previous rumors on the matter have suggested, and what appears to be a leaked photo of the first device in the series has emerged online.

The new handset family, said to have been designed under Google’s guidelines, is also expected to arrive on the market under the name of X Phone, though no official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now.

The leaked photos come from @evleaks and even show that the handset is set to arrive on shelves at wireless carrier AT&T in the United States (there’s even an "XFON ATT" label attached to a photo showing the back of the device).

No specific details on the device itself have been provided as of now, but PhoneArena notes that this might be the Motorola Ghost handset that was rumored not long ago.
