Mobile phone maker Alcatel is expected to bring to the market its first handset powered by MediaTek's quad-core processor before the end of this year, namely the Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD.

In fact, it seems that the new device is set to make an official appearance as soon as next week at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show, with some appealing specs packed inside.

For example, the phone is said to sport an HD screen, and to be at least 4.3 or 4.5-inch large, while being powered by Google’s Android operating system.

The rest of the device’s specs are unknown for the time being, yet more on it will be unveiled soon, so stay tuned.

At the same time, we should note that Alcatel is also expected to unveil its One Touch Idol Ultra smartphone at CES 2013, deemed the thinnest smartphone yet.
