US-based carrier T-Mobile plans to add a sequel to the Alcatel Sparq messaging phone to its portfolio. The device has been recently spotted at Federal Communication Commission (FCC).

Dubbed Alcatel Sparq II, the handset sports a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for easier texting. According to Phonescoop, the feature-phone is fully compatible with T-Mobile’s network bands, so the release of the device is imminent.

Unfortunately, little is known about the slider’s specs sheet, though we should expect the Sparq II to feature a main camera with flash, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The phone’s manual, which is included in the document filed at FCC, mentions the handset will come with FM Radio, integrated web browser, media player and microSD card slot for memory expansion.

There are no details on the phone’s pricing options and exact release date yet, but more info is likely to surface in the next few weeks so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
