ZTE is reportedly gearing up for the launch of an affordable device packing a 5-inch touchscreen display, known as ZTE U956 at the moment, and the handset has emerged in a series of leaked photos recently.
The new mobile phone is said to arrive on shelves with a 5-inch display capable of delivering a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, while featuring a quad-core processor packed inside.
The device has already received the necessary approvals in China, it seems, but it hasn’t been officially introduced on this market as of now.
Rumor has it that the smartphone will cost only 1,499 Yuan ($240 / €180) when launched, which would make it one of the most affordable quad-core handsets available on shelves.
ZTE reportedly packed the U956 with a MediaTek MT6589 chipset inside, with support for TD-SCDMA and GSM bands.
