The tablet PC runs Android 4.2, will arrive in June

Computer maker Acer has finally made the Iconia A1 tablet PC official, after details on the device emerged online a few times before.

Just as previously rumored, the device arrives on shelves with a 7.9-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) IPS screen, packs a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and 1GB of RAM inside, and sports the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS on top.

Acer also included a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back of the new slate, as well as a front camera for video calling, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity capabilities inside it, GPS receiver, and a 3250 mAh battery.

Acer Iconia A1 will be launched in June in 8GB and 16GB flavors, with a microSD memory card slot also included, and will have it priced at $169.99 (129 Euro) and $199.99 (152 Euro), respectively.
