The smartphone will arrive on shelves in May in Black and White

Computer maker Acer has made official a new smartphone running under Google’s Android operating system, namely the Acer Liquid E2, the first device in its lineup to hit shelves with a quad-core processor packed inside.

The new mobile phone also sports a 4.5-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen, an 8-megapixel photo snapper with zero shutter delay, and a 2MP front camera for making video calls.

Furthermore, it comes with HSPA+ networks, single and dual-SIM capabilities, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM Radio, built-in GPS receiver, and a microSD memory card slot. The usual set of sensors will also be present on it.

Acer is set to make the smartphone available for purchase in Black and White flavors starting with May in various markets in Europe, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Ukraine, France, Spain, the UK, Italy, Germany, and Russia. The phone will be priced at €229 ($299), Android Community reports.
