Computer maker Acer is gearing up for the commercial availability of a new Android-based tablet PC, following an official unveiling of the slate at Computex last month, namely the Iconia Tab A110.

The device has just emerged over on the FCC website with its 7-inch touchscreen display, which means that it is now approved for use in the United States.

No specific info on the Tegra 3-based tablet PC has been provided through the FCC listing, but it should feature the same specs announced last month, Engadget reports.

The upcoming device should land on shelves with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space. The screen boasts a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution.

Micro-HDMI and micro-USB connectors were also included in the package, along with Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich platform.
