Mobile phone users in the United States interested in the purchase of a new Galaxy Note II smartphone with an AT&T contract can now grab it for as low as $174.99 (€135) if they make the acquisition through Amazon Wireless.

The handset is available at a lower price tag for customers looking to upgrade as well, at only $199.99 (€155). Even so, the price is still significantly lower than what AT&T is asking for the phone ($300/€232).

Of course, the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier is still mandatory. However, users will be able to purchase the phone in either white or grey.

Note II provides users with great performance and viewing capabilities, courtesy of a quad-core CPU inside and of a 5.5-inch touchscreen display. It runs under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform.
