Major carrier AT&T has just announced Samsung Galaxy Express users will now be able to upgrade their phones’ software to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

According to AT&T, the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves, so those who have yet to be notified on availability can manually check for it by going to Applications / Settings / About Device / Software Update / Check for Updates.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean brings Samsung Galaxy Express users new features and applications, including Google Now, improved notification system, Blocking Mode, data usage calculator, Easy Mode and more.

With Google Now, users will be able to obtain the latest info on weather, traffic or their favorite team’s score.

The Easy Mode offers a simpler experience for first-time smartphone users with large home screen widgets containing contacts, clock and alarm, favorite apps and more.
