Wireless carrier AT&T has started to deliver a new software update to the owners of a Pantech Flex smartphone on its network, providing them with all the benefits of the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

With the update, users will enjoy performance enhancements available as part of Project Butter, as well as the capabilities of Google Now, along with actionable notifications.

On top of that, the update brings along an AT&T Drive Mode, which is meant to prevent users from texting while driving. The software will also bring along resizable widgets.

AT&T has announced that the new firmware will be pushed to devices over the air, which means that it will be released in phases, and that some users will have to wait a bit longer for it to arrive.
